Banner Health has launched Banner Innovation Group (BIG) to unearth and evaluate innovative ideas, move valuable opportunities forward and scale measurable results. The program merges two existing groups: the innovation and digital business leadership teams and their “imaginariums,” or incubators designed for testing and implementing ideas.
The objective of BIG, led by chief strategy and growth officer Scott Nordlund, is to elevate the health care experience of Banner’s patients, colleagues and customers by improving existing programs – including VR-enhanced labor/delivery and a streamlined emergency care experience. The program will encourage and commercialize inventive ideas from external colleagues and employees.
