Security.org recently released a study ranking the best and worst states for women’s rights using data from the U.S. Census Bureau across four key categories: economic freedom, education, health and reproductive freedom and political participation. The state rankings and scores were determined by calculating a total of 12 sets of metrics.
Among the best states for women’s rights, according to the study, are Washington D.C., Maine, New Hampshire, Oregon, Iowa, Washington, Hawaii, Nevada and Colorado.
Among the worst states for women’s rights, according to the study, are Louisiana, Arkansas, Utah, Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Indiana, Tennessee and Georgia.
