Copper State of Mind

Independence Day

Labor Day marks the end to summer. Kids are back at school, “Summer Fridays” are now just Fridays and, if store shelves are any indication, fall is right around the corner.

Labor Day was created by the labor movement to recognize the social and economic achievements of American workers. As the founders of Labor Day intended, parades, festivals and picnics still mark the day. Many use the three-day weekend to get together with family and friends.

Regardless of how you’ll celebrate, there’s no denying the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity and well-being of our country.
