A Virtual Cooking Event with NoRTH ITALIA Corporate Chef Chris Curtiss

The virtual cooking demonstration is part of the One Step Beyond (OSBI) annual Help Us Glow (HUG) fundraising campaign focused on shining a light on abilities, inclusion and opportunity for individuals who have intellectual disabilities. Virtual attendees will receive a shopping list ahead of the event so they can cook alongside the Chef.

MENU: The menu will include a tutorial about how to prepare the perfect classic Negroni and charcuterie board. The main course will feature a parmesan and herb crusted beef tenderloin with roasted brussels sprouts,                                             Cambozola polenta and an aged balsamic roasted pear crumble with vanilla Mascarpone.

OSBI Winter’s Eve of Comedy Event

The Winter’s Eve of Comedy Event is a fun family event guaranteed to get everyone in the holiday spirit. The virtual comedy show will feature entertaining acts from OSBI participants and Fine Arts program director Kristy Bullock as well as stand-up routines from world famous comedians Clara Bijl, Brooke Heinichen and Alexandra Love.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the OSBI annual Help Us Glow (HUG) fundraising campaign focused on shining a light on abilities, inclusion and opportunity for individuals who have intellectual disabilities.

Brighter Tomorrow Luncheon

WHAT:   The Jewish Family and Children’s Service (JFCS) Brighter Tomorrow Luncheon is an annual signature event showcasing JFCS’ impact on the wellbeing of over 40,000 people in the Valley.

Dr. Michael M Crow will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Brighter Tomorrow Luncheon

Dr. Michael M. Crow, the 16th president of Arizona State University who recently celebrated his 17th year in office, is the featured keynote speaker. Raised in a military family and having attended 18 schools before graduating high school, Dr. Crow is a proud first-generation college student whose personal education experiences have informed his vision of a university.

INFORMATION:    Held each year, the Brighter Tomorrow Luncheon is JFCS’ annual fundraising event.  Last year, more than $370,000 was raised to support a variety of programs including primary medical care, counseling and behavioral health, domestic violence victim assistance and Jewish community services.

Chairing the event this year will be Vicki and Howard Cabot.
