Jewish Family & Children’s Service Brighter Tomorrow Event

The Jewish Family and Children’s Service (JFCS) Brighter Tomorrow Event is the nonprofit organization’s annual signature event showcasing JFCS’ impact on the wellbeing of more than 40,000 people in the Valley.

Robert Sarver, owner of the Phoenix Suns and executive chairman of Western Alliance Bancorporation, will deliver the keynote address. Sarver is a dedicated philanthropist who is committed to supporting Arizona’s local community, both through Phoenix Suns Charities and his and his wife’s own personal contributions. Under Sarver’s leadership, Phoenix Suns Charities has granted more than $21 million to Arizona nonprofits in the areas of education, healthcare and sports

12th Annual Festival of Trees – At Home for the Holidays A Virtual Affair

Join the Greater Equality Chamber of Commerce (GPECC) and make plans early this year to privately preview the 12th Annual Festival of TreesAt Home for the Holidays A Virtual Affair on either December 1st, 2nd or 3rd at your convenience. Then sign up and plan to watch the big virtual celebration on Friday, December 4th from 6:30pm – 7:30pm.  The 12th Annual Festival of Trees will benefit Kids in Focus. 

An estimated 200 to 300 people are expected to tune into the virtual celebration, including LGBT business owners, allies, local, state and national leaders, and members of the community. There will be one dozen trees on display.  The event will feature trees donated from local organizations, GPECC members, and talented designers. Trees will be auctioned and raffled throughout the evening, and then delivered to winners following the event. Some of the 2020 travel raffle items include an all-inclusive 5-day trip to Puerto Vallarta including all meals, airfare and hotel, plus another 5-day trip to Hawaii including airfare and hotel accommodations. A Virtual Cooking Event with NoRTH ITALIA Corporate Chef Chris Curtiss

The virtual cooking demonstration is part of the One Step Beyond (OSBI) annual Help Us Glow (HUG) fundraising campaign focused on shining a light on abilities, inclusion and opportunity for individuals who have intellectual disabilities. Virtual attendees will receive a shopping list ahead of the event so they can cook alongside the Chef.

MENU: The menu will include a tutorial about how to prepare the perfect classic Negroni and charcuterie board. The main course will feature a parmesan and herb crusted beef tenderloin with roasted brussels sprouts,                                             Cambozola polenta and an aged balsamic roasted pear crumble with vanilla Mascarpone.

OSBI Winter’s Eve of Comedy Event

The Winter’s Eve of Comedy Event is a fun family event guaranteed to get everyone in the holiday spirit. The virtual comedy show will feature entertaining acts from OSBI participants and Fine Arts program director Kristy Bullock as well as stand-up routines from world famous comedians Clara Bijl, Brooke Heinichen and Alexandra Love.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the OSBI annual Help Us Glow (HUG) fundraising campaign focused on shining a light on abilities, inclusion and opportunity for individuals who have intellectual disabilities.
