Copper State of Mind

Each year on Nov. 11, we as a nation observe Veterans Day.  We should be thankful every day for the members of the military (and their families), but it’s nice to pause and reflect on their service to our country.

Originally called Armistice Day, commemorating the signing of the agreement that ended World War I at 11 a.m., Nov. 11, 1918, this holiday was changed to Veterans Day in 1954. At that time, it became a day to honor all the men and women who have served in the armed forces of the United States, whether in peacetime or in war.
