Tacotopia

The Tacotopia Tour, an immersive pop-up museum, will open in Tempe Marketplace on September 21 for an 8 – week exhibit.

The Tacotopia Tour previewed at the 2019 South by Southwest Festival in Austin, TX, before launching in Santa Monica, CA for a three-month pop-up on the Third Street Promenade.

TACOTOPIA is a hybrid amusement park, and Taco Festival all rolled up into an immersive Instagram pop-up museum.

A weird and wonderful world of TACOTASTIC proportions, the exhibit transports guests into a taco wonderland with sharable photo ops at every turn.

The interactive exhibit features more than thirty unique spaces with larger-than-life installations.  Among the many Taco themed rooms, guests can ride a Mechanical Taco, jump into an oversized Guac pit or swing on the Senorita Needs a Margarita lime wedge.

Forget the after-party, it’s all about the pre-party with TACOTOPIA.  Perfect for a girl’s night out, bachelorette party or the ideal pre-game meet-up, TACOTOPIA offers an engaging, immersive experience and a memorable party backdrop.

The fun continues in a Party Like a Guac Star silent disco area and the upside-down taqueria where guests will find themselves hanging from the ceiling.

If you love Chihuahuas, the Chihuahua infinity room is a must do bucket list experience; where seemingly thousands of Chihuahuas are bobbing their heads to the beat.

A ticket includes the Chips and Hot Sauce Sample Bar, a Complimentary Bottle of Jarritos and a Free Taco.

Groups over 25 and Private Parties are welcome, however, are encouraged to contact the office to reserve tickets.   TACOTOPIA is available for private parties from 7:00 – 11:00 pm.

To purchase tickets for this unique experience, visit tacotopia.com.  Tickets are available at the door; however, it is recommended tickets are purchased in advance to ensure entrance.

There are limited tickets each day, and the exhibit sold-out in Santa Monica and Austin.

The last day for the Tempe pop-up is Sunday, November 24, 2019.

The TACOTOPIA Tour will open in Miami, FL December 6 and stay through Superbowl 2020.  Beyond Miami, TACOTOPIA is scheduled to visit New York City, Chicago, Atlanta, and San Francisco.

The 10th Annual Arizona Taco Festival

The 10th annual Arizona Taco Festival is moving to Scottsdale’s WestWorld on Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13. Roughly 60 taco teams from around the country will compete for more than $10,000 in prize money, with about 35,000 people expected to be served more than 100,000 tacos.

This will be the event’s first year at WestWorld. In recent years, it was held at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.

“For years, we’ve watched [the Arizona Taco Festival] grow into a world-class event,” Brian Dygert, WestWorld general manager, says in a press release. And where better for this massive taco event to be held, he says, than in the same venue as Barrett-Jackson and the Arabian Horse Show.

The 2019 Arizona Taco Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days. The attractions will include $3 tacos, a hot sauce expo, cooking demonstrations, a tequila expo, lucha libre wrestling, a hot chili pepper contest, a Day of the Dead wedding, and live music.

Tickets and more information will be available soon.

In the meantime, stay tuned to the Arizona Taco Festival’s FacebookTwitter, and Instagram pages.
