Father’s Day is this weekend, and we’ve all gotten some great advice from our dads throughout the years.

The Arizona 100 team’s dads are no exception. Always provide customers with the same honesty you’d expect from them, says one. Never be afraid of public speaking, because it’s fun, it’s powerful and a great way to be heard, says another. Mine told me always be on time and do my best.

To all the dads and those that play the role of dad in our lives, here’s to you on your special day – and thanks.

Arizona connections on grandest of stages

Copper State of Mind logo

Justify, the horse of Nogales native, University of Arizona grad and legendary horse trainer Bob Baffert, is one win away from thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown. A Belmont Stakes win would be the 13th Triple Crown winner in history.

Ryan Reaves, son of Flagstaff native and Northern Arizona University football Hall of Famer Willard Reaves, scored the winning goal for the Las Vegas Knights that propelled them into the NHL Stanley Cup finals.

Neither the carnations draped over the Belmont Stakes winner nor the coveted Stanley Cup are made of copper – but they may very well have a tint of it.
