In Arizona, the Law Enforcement Torch Run enables personnel from across the state to raise in excess of $1 million each year – all of which goes toward creating increased opportunities for Special Olympics Arizona athletes.
This summer, runners kept pace with the Central Arizona College Police Department, the Nogales Police Department, the Santa Cruz County Attorney’s Office, and the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office during a pair of Torch Runs in May.
The event’s “Flame of Hope” celebrates the greatness in all individuals, especially the 21,261 Special Olympics athletes across Arizona competing for gold in over 675 competitions each year.
