Strive to stride more

If you haven’t already set a resolution for 2022, you might want to consider walking more. The benefits are endless – for both your physical and mental health – and it could even prolong your life.

Walking at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week can reduce your risk of developing coronary heart disease by nearly 20 percent. The increased blood flow resulting from walking can also improve your mood, and the positive effect on your central nervous system helps combat anxiety.

A recent study showed that walking 7,000 steps daily decreases the likelihood of premature death by 50-70 percent.
