So I finally rented a Tesla Model 3

I’ve never had such emotional ups and downs with a vehicle. The first time I planted the accelerator on a turnpike, and the Tesla instantly bolted forward, I actually said out loud “this is the future.”

But our honeymoon didn’t last three highway exits. Beyond 75mph (which was the pace of traffic), the Tesla drained 1% of its battery every 1.5 miles. So I pulled over to use the much-touted Tesla touchscreen, and found it (shockingly) unintuitive.

Tesla may have been first to market, but at this rate, I don’t think they’ll be King of the EV Hill much longer.
