Walgreens’ Iconic Red Nose Day Goes Virtual this Year

Red Nose Day Virtual

Walgreens is taking its iconic Red Nose digital in its sixth annual Red Nose Day. Red Nose Day is May 21, but consumers can access a Red Nose filter now through May 30 by donating online at  Walgreens.com/RedNoseDay. Donations to Red Nose Day help Americans provide health, education, food and shelter resources to organizations caring for the most vulnerable among us – especially children living in poverty. Over the past five years, Red Nose Day has raised $200 million in the U.S. to help end child poverty, and Walgreens, with 240 Arizona locations, has served as the exclusive retailer.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, where the need for kindness and giving is heightened, the digital filter allows the spirit of Red Nose Day to unite people to spread joy virtually and raise awareness of the cause, even while staying home and remaining physically distant. Consumers are encouraged to share their Red Nose selfies on Instagram, Facebook or Snapchat, tagging @walgreens and #NosesOn and challenging family and friends to join. To get your Red Nose filter, donate online at Walgreens.com/RedNoseDay.

In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, needs and economic hardship for children living in poverty have increased significantly. Red Nose Day has committed to direct funds to address the impact of COVID-19 on these children and the organizations that support them, with donations providing relief to local communities that face challenges threatening the health, safety and education of children.

Through Red Nose Day donations, Walgreens and its proud supporting vendors and customers raise funds for nutritious meals, essential medicine, shelter and other vital aid and education-based services for millions of children in American and around the world.

Local grantee partner recipients of this year’s Red Nose Day Fund include the Boys & Girls Clubs across the state, which provide safe places for children to learn and play after school; JumpStart, a national early education organization; and Educare Arizona, which provides quality early childhood learning, family support and health care to vulnerable young children and their families.
