Each month, more than 800 people visit the Ronald McDonald Family Room (RMFR) at Diamond Children’s Medical Center in Tucson seeking solace from stressful hospital routines.
Next month, this number stands to double, thanks to a second RMFR set to open at Tucson Medical Center. Both spaces are projects of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona.
It’s easy to see why the colorful room – outfitted with cozy seating, computers, plus snacks and drinks – is a welcome home away from home for loved ones with a hospitalized child.
