According to a recent study by WalletHub, 98 million Americans feel they overspent during the 2019 holiday season. Of those 98 million, three times more millennials than Baby Boomers reported regretting one or more holiday purchases.
A total of 25% said that the debt was worth it for the memories created as a result of the purchases. And while 56% of respondents feel they can get out of holiday debt by Feb. 1 and 27% feel they can get back in the black by March, 17% feel they will not be out of debt until much later in the year.
