Enjoy a French 75 Facial (and Cocktail) at Home

French 75 Facial

Just because your favorite spa isn’t open right now, doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself to a spa-like experience at home.

In a bowl, combine half a cup of granulated sugar, two ounces of coconut oil, juice from half a lemon and a dash of lemon zest. Mix the ingredients until a consistent texture forms. This delightful lemon-sugar scrub can be applied to both body and face in the shower, leaving skin feeling as fresh as just-picked citrus.

Next, add your favorite fizzy bath bomb to the tub to attain the effervescence for which the classic French 75 is known.

Before you pop in the bath, as an added treat, be sure to make yourself the iconic cocktail to sip as you soak. To make, combine two ounces of gin, ¾ ounces of fresh lemon juice and ¾ ounces of simple syrup in a shaker. Next, simply fill with ice and shake. Strain the contents into a flute and top with 2 ounces of pre-chilled champagne or sparkling wine, and garnish with a lemon twist. Cheers!
