Football and flu shots? Fall must be here

Ahhh fall. The return of football, everything pumpkin spice and flu season. If you plan to go to your local pharmacy for a flu shot and the newest COVID vaccine, many are wondering if it’s okay to get them in different arms.

Dr. Ashish Jha, White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator thinks it’s a good idea. “I really believe it’s why God gave us two arms.” But several physicians disagree, like pediatrician Sallie Permar who says she’d rather have one sore arm than both. A third option is making two separate appointments.

U.S. flu season typically runs from October to May.
