While penning my newest book, I ran with the word “primer” – the British term for a small, introductory book on a subject. Why? Because even among speakers of the same language, there are vast variations in how we communicate.
For instance, Baby Boomers may prefer face-to-face conversations and formal memos, while Millennials prefer quick text messages and informal chats. Gen Xers might place a higher value on loyalty, stability and employer commitment, while Gen Zers may prioritize working with a firm committed to social impact.
Leveraging the strengths and perspectives of each generation results in more innovative and dynamic teams.
My ninth book, “Leading Across the Generations,” is now available on Amazon.
