Several Arizona distilleries are stepping up in a unique way to support the ongoing efforts to protect against COVID-19: making hand sanitizer. SanTan Brewing Company partnered with Crescent Crown Distributing to recycle over 16,000 gallons of beer that won’t be delivered to bars/restaurants and instead will be distilled to produce 400 gallons of hand sanitizer.
Similarly, CaskWerks’ Chris LaBelle connected with Sweetwater Science Laboratory to develop a medically tested and approved hand sanitizer recipe. And Blue Clover is using its vodka distilling expertise to create a virus-fighting hand sanitizer, providing it to Arizona State troopers and other organizations in need.
