Your quick guide to the latest social media updates

Overwhelmed by all the social media updates of late? Read on for a brief synopsis:

Twitter: No more blue bird and no more “Twitter.” Elon Musk is transforming the platform into “X.” The new “everything app” will be equipped with banking and much more.

Threads: With engagement rates already dropping 70% since launch and still no way to schedule content, maybe give Threads a pass … for now.

TikTok: Still the way to go if you are looking for a new social media platform to engage with. Excelling in influencer collaborations and paid ad options, it is definitely worth investing in.

Insurance app makes it easy to keep getting best discounts

The insurance industry was an early adopter of technology, embracing telephones to call customers, computers to store policy information – even faxes to confirm coverage.

Notice, if you will, those advancements all were used to assist the insurance company. When RightSure insurance founder Jeff Arnold launched his firm, he insisted his team develop insurance technology that instead improved the experience for our customers.

Now, with the introduction of RightSure’s RateGuard app for mobile devices, that mission takes a big leap forward, allowing customers to instantly confirm they are getting the best discounts for whatever insurance they need to protect their lives.

The evolution of LinkedIn

Most social media platforms have seen recent increased usage, but LinkedIn may claim the top spot as it continues to grow at an exponential rate.

LinkedIn usage spiked after the shutdown last March, with millions of users in search of new jobs. It has now grown to over 706 million users, with an average of three new accounts being created every second. The platform began pushing virtual events and livestreaming abilities, both of which have grown by nearly 90 percent in the past year.

One of the world’s top 10 fastest growing brands, LinkedIn promises to dominate social media in 2021.

Web Design Tips to Keep Users Coming Back

Web Design Tips to Keep Users Coming Back

The design of your website – down to the font, color and image quality on each page – can make or break your business.

When it comes to font choice, go with a “sans serif” font like Open Sans or Roboto. These are more readable and preferred by users. To keep users on your site longer, consider introducing a chat box feature to allow visitors to ask questions and learn more about services or products.

Finally, make sure your website graphics are clear. This is so important; you should partner with a professional a few times a year to ensure production quality.

How to Overcome Zoom Fatigue

How to Overcome Zoom Fatigue

For many companies, video chatting via platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Skype are the new normal. And while back in March and April, jumping from meeting to meeting at the click of a button was a novelty, today it can feel a bit tedious.

According to Northeastern University, we experience “Zoom fatigue” because video chat requires more focus than face-to-face communication. To reduce this affect, schedule time in between meetings completely free of any screens – even phones and TV – and although routines are important, ensure you have a little variety in the workday and in your personal time.

3 Critical Digital Marketing Steps for a New Business

3 Critical Digital Marketing Steps for a New Business

Launching a new business is equal parts exciting and anxiety-inducing (to say the least). Given all that goes into it, digital marketing is often pushed way down the to-do list. However, there are three basic things smart business owners do from the onset to set themselves up for digital success.

  1. Whether you sell products online or you rely on nearby foot traffic, optimizing one’s website, including investing in search engine optimization, is a must.
  2. You must also find the time to understand social media basics, or hire a firm to assist you.
  3. Finally, consider pay-per-click ads to boost site traffic.

How to Maximize LinkedIn for Your Business

How to Maximize LinkedIn for Your Business

LinkedIn has become one of the most powerful ways for professionals and businesses to connect. It’s essential that your business establishes a strong presence there.

Although LinkedIn isn’t as visual as Instagram, photos matter. Include them both on your page and in posts. As it relates to your headline and “about us” sections, be clear and concise.

Also, when you sign up for a company page, you’ll be assigned a URL containing unique identification numbers that can make the URL look a bit sloppy. So, don’t forget to personalize that name.

Finally, optimize your company’s LinkedIn page with relevant keywords.

Navigating the Minefield of Digital Promotion Amid a Pandemic

Navigating the Minefield of Digital Promotion Amid a Pandemic

We are all learning how to navigate our businesses amid COVID-19, which comes with new challenges almost daily. Among them: How to make thoughtful marketing decisions in this ever-changing climate.

As it relates to digital marketing, be mindful of automation and campaigns already in motion. If automating, ensure the messages are aligned with the moment, and create processes to review and update messaging regularly versus putting things on cruise control. Also, be sure you are crystal clear about what you’re doing and offering. If services have been modified, delayed or put on hold, make it clear on all digital channels.

Arizona Restaurant Week Updates Web Dashboard

Updates Web Dashboard

In years past, Arizona Restaurant Week has been a dine-in only experience. One of the biggest changes to Arizona Restaurant Week in 2020 is the addition of takeout. As such, there is a new search feature on the website that denotes which restaurants are able to provide takeout as well as dine in.

In addition, every participating restaurant is taking the cleanliness of their restaurant and the health of their customers very seriously. The Arizona Restaurant Association has been advising restaurants on health and safety precautions since they have reopened and will continue to do so during the 10-day event.
