Other than college intramural boxing class or my best friend’s single slug on the second grade playground – I’ve never been in a fistfight. I guess I’m a lover, not a fighter.
Consequently, I’ve been shocked at my readiness to go to war against my enemies – and even more so to discern my enemies are … my fellow Americans.
Perhaps it’s because I love my country so or I feel so misunderstood and polarized. So when an acquaintance called to invite me to engage with Braver Angels, I thought it might be time to listen. Is love the answer after all?
